I don't usually write blogs, but I'm actually beginning to enjoy this site. I know I'm probably the first lesbian on here, but I don't give a shit. For the longest time I've followed the code of Lesbian Feminism. For those not familiar with it, it extends beyond the "normal aspects of feminism. Regular feminists, meaning heterosexual women, want equality with men. Lesbian Feminists take equality with men out of the picture. We do not need to "compete" with men. Nor do we feel we need the approval of men. Not all lesbians hate men. What most lesbians can't stand is how most straight men feel that they are automatically entitled to certain things just because they are men. Well that shit don't fly with me. If someone wants my respect they must earn it. I don't bow down to anyone. Men need to realize that a sense of entitlement does not make them qualified for a job, or make them stronger than anyone. That is what Lesbian Feminists can teach "regular" Feminists. Most of their striving is done against pure ego. Now do you really want eguality with that?
